London maps

The United Kingdom is located in Western Europe, between the North Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea, northwest of France. The terrain is largely made up of rugged hills, low mountains and rolling countryside, interspersed with major cities. London is located in the southeastern region of England, and is divided roughly into north and south by the Thames River.

The capital city is a major transport hub, with rail and coach connections to all over the country and to Europe, as well as an abundance of flights to destinations worldwide. Travelling to Ireland or Europe by ferry is also an option, but you will need to utilise another form of transport to reach the UK coast from London, which is situated inland.
