Morocco travel information

As an African country located just a short ferry ride from European shores, Morocco embodies both these worlds in its vibrant melting pot of culture, tradition, history and gastronomy. It is regarded as one of the less dangerous North African destinations, but certain health and security issues are associated with the country.

The Western Sahara is heavily mined and notoriously unstable, and visitors should avoid this region if they want to play it safe. A few years ago, a series of terrorist bombings were carried out in Casablanca, and although there have been none since, Morocco is still regarded as a country where there is an increased risk of international terrorism, and visitors should be vigilant in public places.
