Mexico maps

Mexico is situated in Central America, bordering the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, between Belize and the US and bordering the North Pacific Ocean, between Guatemala and the US. It is slightly less than three times the size of the US state of Texas, and is hot and humid along the coastal plains, and drier and more temperate at higher elevations inland (Guadalajara or Mexico City, for example).

Mexico City is located towards the southern end of Mexico and driving distances north, as well as east to Cancun are quite long. Flying is often the best option, and relatively cheap considering the long, hot bus ride that may be the only alternative.
