Naples maps

Naples is the regional capital of Campania, located on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, one of the finest coastlines in Italy. It has a population of one million and an area of 117km2. The climate is typically Mediterranean, with high temperatures and sunny days in the summer and colder, damper weather in the winter.

Naples is a relatively easy city to get around. The centre of Naples is fairly compact and most of the sights are within walking distance of one another. Much of Naples is pedestrianised and there is an excellent bus network and local railway. It’s a two-hour drive or train ride north to Rome, and a further six-hour journey to Florence. Ferries also leave Naples for nearby islands.
