Paris maps

France is located in Western Europe and borders the Bay of Biscay, the English Channel and the Mediterranean Sea. The landscape of the country consists mainly of flat plains and gently rolling hills in the north and west, and mountainous areas in the south and east. France covers 547,030km2 in total and is the largest country in Western Europe.

The French capital, Paris, is centrally located in the northern half of the country, and is a key transport hub, in both domestic and international terms. Charles de Gaulle International Airport is served by regular flights to all parts of the country and cities across the globe. Paris has six major train stations, and high-speed TGV trains run from Paris to destinations across Europe. Coaches are the least comfortable but most affordable form of transport, and frequent services leave from Paris to a wide range of destinations.
