With an area of 45,000km2, Estonia is larger, for example, than Slovenia, Holland, Denmark or Switzerland; a little smaller, in other words, than New Hampshire and Massachusetts combined. Estonia stretches 350kms from east to west and 240kms from north to south. Sea islands form one-tenth and lakes about one-twentieth of Estonia's territory.
Tallinn, with its medieval city centre, is Estonia's capital. The bus and train network is very good, but driving is the probably the best means of getting around Estonia. The roads are good, traffic is light and nothing's very far from anything else. Estonian drivers are known to be aggressive though.
