Estonia travel information

With the proper precautions, travelling in Estonia should pose no problems. Medical facilities are improving rapidly but still fall short of Western standards due to a lack of resources. Standard medications are readily available at numerous pharmacies. Street crime is common, as is car theft and theft from cars; simply take care of your valuables and avoid displays of wealth.

Estonia is still recovering from recent economic hardship, so theft, pickpocketing and muggings can be a problem, especially at night in the old town area of the capital, Tallinn, and at airports, parks and hotel areas. Check the Foreign & Commonwealth Office website for the latest information.
