Egypt maps

Egypt is located on the northeast corner of the African continent, between Libya and Israel, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It covers a total land area of 997,740km2, and the landscape consists of largely desert terrain, interrupted by the Nile River delta and fringed by the Mediterranean coast.

The capital city, Cairo, is connected to Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan by means of train, to Jordan by bus and ferry, and to Libya by bus. Many domestic travel services are plagued by inconsistency and inefficiency.
